Now that I think of it, theres one huge suggestion I have for a Hoth type map. It can't be like GC, only in one way though. Although I loved it, it annoyed me as easily. The map is a forward assault style map. The layout of it seems like a push-map, but they still put a normal conquest mode for it, which took much away from it, including being closer to what the movie as like.
Heres what I mean:
Imperials cap the fallen AT-AT, and begin heading for the Generator....once its blown up, they will likely cap and move on towards the trenches....now SOO many times, ive seen rebels re-cap something like the generators or the fallen AT-AT, making it not even seem like a one-way map anymore. Evantually Imperials might have had the skill to get to Echo base and cap it, but by then the Rebels have the fallen AT-AT back, the generator back, and maybe even the trenches. People WANT to treat it like it is in the movies (assault, one way push map) however seeing as its conquest, you might as well just run around flag hopping, because its alot more fit for winning.
So my suggestions is to have assault type maps more one way, so its more of an actiony, frontline battle, which would be alot more true to the movies/books. So instead of taking all of the classic feel to it by making it conquest, make it liek a push map, just with a bit more than an exact straight pat. Using the GC oth as an example again, maybe it would be like the Generator and fallen AT-AT were required points to move on to the trenches, fallen AT-AT being first. Both trenches can be engeged then at once, but you CAN NOT capture Echo until the trenches are captured.
Last thing I would like to say is, keep all maps as much as you can to the classic battles they were in the movies. Take that feeling from the movies and put it in the mod. In my opinion GC failed to do that...none-the-less it was one of my favorite mods.
